Hi,

I created a user 'scott' and assigned 'sysdba' persmission. When i try to logon with user 'scott' as 'sysdba' and try to access V$ and dba_ views, i am unable to do so. Please suggest.

do NOT tell us what you did.
SHOW us using COPY & PASTE what you did & how Oracle responded.

"unable to do so" is not an actionable error message.

If you are "unable" to do something, your attempt should have resulted in an error code and message text. Knowing that error code AND message text is key to unraveling your mystery. Equally important is knowing the exact statement that produced the error.

Unfortunately, you chose not to share that information.
